PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS: Week Starting December 13
1. The Christmas Confessions will be on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the 16th, 17th and 18th December from 5:00pm to 8:00pm in the Church.
2. The Filipino Simbang Gabi will be from 16th to 24th December starting at 4:15 am.
3. The Priestly Ordination of Fr. Raymond will be on December 17th, please pray for him.
4. Our Parish will be organizing the Day of the Poor on January 9th, Thursday. We will be inviting the camp laborers, domestic helpers, cleaners and those who are not doing well in the current economic conditions. We will serve them a Christmas meal and Christmas gifts. Those who wish to “Share your Christmas Joy with the Poor” and support this cause, our volunteers are available outside to receive your contributions or may give them to the Parish Office. Official Receipts will be issued for your donations.
5. The Advent Box for the Poor is placed in the Church.

PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS: Week Starting December 19
1. Couples celebrating their wedding anniversary in this month are kindly requested to register their names in the parish office. Renewal of marriage wows will be on 28 th Dec, Saturday at 6:00 PM.
2. The next additional English Mass will be held on 29 th December at 7:15 PM
3. POSA is inviting parishioners to celebrate this year Christmas with a difference. Your Christmas love offerings can be presented as new sweaters or jackets wrapped and place at POSA box placed at the office. These will be distributed to the needy in various labor camps
4. For Christmas and New Year Mass Schedule, kindly check the notice boards or visit www.avona.org or you may collect the flyers available in the parish office.
5. Bible Diary 2025 are now available in the parish office for 3 KD. All proceeds, contribute to the building of the Bishop’s House in Bahrain.

PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS: Week Starting December 19
1. Today is the 4 th Sunday of Advent. As the Birth of Jesus approaches may we all be ready to play our part in Salvation History like Mary our Mother. May we reach out to others with the Love of Jesus for each of us
2. Today as Fr. Jaison celebrates his birthday we thank the Lord for the great generosity with which he serves in our parish. May the Lord bless him for his self-sacrificing nature and for his availability to all our parishioners. Our beloved priests Fr. Derrick, Fr. Savio, Fr. James, Fr. Joe and Fr. Jaison celebrate their Ordination Anniversaries during this month. We pray for their happiness and good health and may they continue to inspire us as they serve in our Parish. The concelebrated Mass today Friday 20 th December at 6:30pm will be offered to celebrate the gift of our priests.
3. Confessions in preparation for Christmas; In English: 21 st , and 23 rd of December. In Konkani: 23 rd December. In Malayalam, Tagalog and Tamil: Before the respective Masses. For timings of the Confessions please refer to the notice board.
4. The Christmas & New Year Mass Schedule is available on the Parish app and is displayed on the Church notice board.
5. During Christmas & New Year Masses all the parishioners are requested to come only 10 minutes before the Mass they want to attend, to avoid overcrowding outside. All parishioners are requested to please park your vehicles away from the church so as to avoid traffic congestion around the Church. Kindly cooperate with the instructions of the ushers and traffic wardens. – Mass intentions will not be read before Masses on the Christmas Vigil, on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and at New Year Day Masses.
6. All are invited for the Parish Thanksgiving Adoration on Saturday, 28 th December from 6:20 am to 2:30 pm. The schedule for various groups is displayed on the church notice board. Let us thank the Lord for all blessings received in 2024.
7. We are grateful to the Catechism Teachers and the Catechism Ministry who organized the Christmas parties for our children. God bless you all.
8. We thank the Choirs who participated in the Carols Festival on 12 th December. It was celebrated in a good spirit with good performances. Thanks to the core group and all the organizers who put this festival together. Mass intentions will not be read before Masses on the Christmas Vigil, on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and at New Year Day Masses.
9. A good help for our daily prayer is the Bible Diary with the readings for daily Mass. Copies are available in the parish office for 3 KD. All proceeds, contribute to the building of the Bishop’s House in Bahrain. The Parish Calendar is available with the Ushers for 250 fils. Please collect a copy of this beautiful calendar for your home. 10. The Parish office will be closed from 28 th December to 5 th January 2025.
